PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk together with PT Tata Metal Lestari (Tatalogam Group) developed the KRASHome product, namely a residential building made from modern steel construction with the concept of Light Pre-Engineered Building (Light PEB).With this technology, building construction will be faster.The collaboration rolled on after the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two parties.The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Krakatau Steel's Director of Business Development, Purwono Widodo and Vice President of PT Tata Metal Lestari, Stephanus Koeswandi."KRASHome is the result of a combination of Cold-Form Galvalume Steel structural design with the use of high-quality materials. The Light Pre-Engineered Building concept means that the construction is light and easy to assemble," explained Purwono in a written statement, Sunday (3/4/2022).The raw material for Cold-Form Galvalume Steel used by PT Tata Metal Lestari is Krakatau Steel's Cold Rolled Coil (CRC) product with SPCC 1D full hard CRC specifications.Purwono added that KRASHome's effective and efficient installation system resulted in buildings that were strong and built quickly.The use of purlin steel or high-strength galvanized steel (hi-ten) for the entire main structure of aluminum-zinc coated steel, makes the life of the building longer and more economical."All purlin steel components are produced in a cut-to-length system (as needed) so that no material is wasted. Bolt holes are also made automatically and integrated with Purlin steel production to produce more precise products," continued Purwono.Vice President of Tata Metal Lestari, Stephanus Koeswandi said, Tata Metal Lestari had already innovated by making light steel construction-based housing intended for housing, both commercial and temporary housing and permanent housing in locations affected by the disaster."The hallmark of steel construction-based housing from PT Tata Metal Lestari is the assembly process which is easy to do and relatively fast, because that is what is needed in disaster-affected areas. From there we initiated a similar thing aimed at building employee dormitories like KRASHome. The difference with our previous products, KrasHome is designed for a larger capacity. It can be built on 2 or 3 floors that can accommodate hundreds of people safely and comfortably," said Stephanus.
