Bisnis.com, JAKARTA - State-owned steel producer PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk.(KRAS) together with PT Tata Metal Lestari (Tatalogam Group) developed the KRASHome product, a residential building made from modern steel construction with the concept of Light Pre-Engineered Building (Light PEB).Krakatau Steel Business Development Director, Purwono Widodo explained that KRASHome is the result of a combination of Cold-Form Galvalume Steel structural design with the use of high-quality materials."The concept of Light Pre-Engineered Building means the construction is light and easy to assemble," he explained in an official statement, Thursday (31/3/2022).The raw material for Cold-Form Galvalume Steel used by PT Tata Metal Lestari is Krakatau Steel's Cold Rolled Coil (CRC) product with SPCC 1D full hard CRC specifications.Purwono added that the KRASHome installation system is effective and efficient, resulting in strong and fast construction.The use of purlin steel or high-strength galvanized steel (hi-ten) for the entire main structure of aluminum-zinc coated steel, makes the life of the building longer and more economical."All Purlin steel components are produced with a cut to length system (as needed) so that no material is wasted.Bolt holes are also made automatically and integrated with Purlin steel production to produce more precise products," continued Purwono.This KRASHome product will also help expand Krakatau Steel's steel market which is strengthened by Krakatau Steel's strategic partner, namely PT Tata Metal Lestari, which is also known for its purlin steel products in the Indonesian construction market.Tata Metal Lestari Vice President Stephanus Koeswandi said his company had already innovated to make lightweight steel construction-based housing intended for residential, both commercial and temporary and permanent housing in disaster-affected locations."The hallmark of PT Tata Metal Lestari's steel construction-based housing is its assembly process which is easy to do and relatively fast, because that is what is needed in disaster-affected areas," he said.From there, Tata Metal initiated something similar aimed at the construction of employee dormitories such as KRASHome.The difference with previous products, KrasHome is designed for a larger capacity, can be built 2 or 3 floors that can be occupied by hundreds of people safely and comfortably.The Total Steel Solution development collaboration officially started after the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the two parties which was carried out at the PT Tata Metal Lestari factory in the Delta Silicon Valley Industrial area, Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, Thursday (31/3/2022).The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Krakatau Steel's Director of Business Development, Purwono Widodo and Vice President of PT Tata Metal Lestari, Stephanus Koeswandi.Check other news and articles on Google NewsCheck out other news on the topic of this article, here:Join and get economic and business information analysis via your email.
